Peak migrating season along Florida's southwest coast runs from late April to mid-July, with the best fishing in May and June. While we can always find smaller juvenile Tarpon in the backwaters throughout most of the year, the spring migration brings the giant Tarpon right along the coast and gives anglers the best opportunity to target large Tarpon upwards of 200 pounds.
